NEW SEASONAL FLORAL CLASS

At RWF, we believe that all designers and students of any experience level benefit from every opportunity to design with flowers.
There is always something to be learned. In our hands-on class, you will be introduced to the ideas of using color, form, and texture
with a demonstration, sharing our approach to flower arranging.
You will learn flower care and handling, elements of design, mechanics, and techniques.
RWF designers will work with small groups as you create your own arrangement to take home.

Space is limited to 22 students with a minimum of 10.

FLOWER FARM WORKSHOP

We are delighted to bring back our Flower Farm Workshop, an experience not to be missed!
Spend the day in the surrounds of rolling green hills and a lush valley of flower beds at Little Creek Valley Flower Farm.
The beauty of the area and this Mennonite family farm are inspiring and our hosts’ young family offers a heartfelt welcome.

We begin our day with a walking tour of the orchards, hoop houses, and fields of thriving flower beds as Brad shares stories about
their farm life with flora, fauna, and family, growing flowers, and answering your questions as we chat. Next, we will give a short talk
on how to choose flower varieties and colors to create a pleasing arrangement as we discuss designing with color, form, and texture.
We’ll head out to the fields with our buckets and clippers and each student will forage for flowers, foliage, and herbs for their bouquet.

As the flowers hydrate, we’ll have a refreshing locally sourced farm-to-table lunch prepared for us by Little Creek Valley.
Following lunch, you will have a full demonstration of arranging flowers and foliage from the field. The large 1850’s barn
will be ours for the day, for lunch and our workshop space. You’ll create your own just-picked arrangement with tips
and assists from RWF designers. Afterwards, we’ll take a few photos and head for home!

We’ll meet at Little Creek Valley Flower Farm in W. Manchester, Ohio, located about an hour and a half from RWF’s shop.
It’s a pleasant drive through the countryside to a little piece of heaven on the farm. Beginning promptly at 8:30, we’ll beat the heat
by going into the flower fields in the morning with plenty of time to be home for your evening supper with your own
arrangement in hand. Students provide their own transportation.
All materials are provided as part of the workshop along with a farm-to-table lunch.
